My baby is 1!

Well, the year has flown by and our sweet Baby Briella Jean is a year old today!  I remember the day we went to the hospital and were expecting to have a baby just as easily has we had the last 5, but things changed quickly and she decided to be a little different.  I am so grateful for modern medicine and the amazing doctors that helped bring my sweet baby into this world when everything didn't go as planned.   It has been such a blessing to have her sweet spirit in our family and I look forward to many more.  She has touched each of our hearts and we all simply adore her.  Happy birthday sweet BB!

Kaden is ordained a Deacon

Kaden turned 12 on August 24th and that means he is now going to be attending the young men's program at church.  This also means that he is now old enough to receive the Aaronic Priesthood and become a deacon.  It is awesome to me how young the men are when they get to begin their service in the priesthood. They are entrusted with the power to act in the name of Jesus Christ at a very young age, but it allows them to learn how to serve and think of others.  He will begin passing the sacrament next Sunday which is an amazing privilege and I am excited to see him participate in this sacred ordinance each Sunday.  I am so grateful I get to be Kaden's mom.  It is a little hard to believe he is already 12 years old, but it has been such a treat to see him grow and develop and it makes me excited for his future.  I know he will be influence many for good.  Congratulations Kaden!

Happy 7 months!

Well tomorrow Briella will be 7 months old tomorrow! Wow! She is such a joy and we just have enjoyed every minute with her.  We especially enjoyed her first trip to Utah this past month and her 1st 4th of July.  There is so much to tell so for now I am just going to post a couple of pictures from the trip.  The highlights were Levi's campout birthday party, Mady's birthday and baptism and the many hours Kaden, Sarah and Brandon were able to spend on temple square.  It was a trip we will all never forget.

Baby #6 day!

We will be heading to the hospital in just a couple of hours to deliver our sixth baby! 34 years ago today my dad  passed away in a car accident. I am sure he is watching over us as we welcome this new baby into our family.  We have had a hard time deciding on a name for this baby girl but I think we have finally settled with Briella Jean (my dad's mom's name). (It may change after we see her but it feels right.)

We are all very excited, especially Sarah, Mady & Val! I am going to try and update when I can on how things are going. I feel like I journaled well when I had Kaden but I have not been that good since then.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to be a mother and that I've had the chance to bring these special spirits into the world.

1st day of school 2016-2017

Had a date night with Kaden which was long overdue. We attended a baptism of a new member in our ward who also has an 11 year old. It was very neat to be there and get to play the piano and be with Kaden. Then we stopped at one of favorites, Jason's deli! Can't believe he will be 11 this week! Love him!

Levi is 26 months and all about mom:) but he loves to be with dad especially when he's doing handy man stuff. Such a cutie!!

Mady's date at grandma Joyce's

Madyson had the special privilege of going with her grandpa to her great grandma Joyce's last Saturday (Aug 13th). She was able to learn the tricks on her special deviled eggs. Grandpa said she ate six or seven before they even got home! She had a wonderful time!
