Utah 2014

I am finally taking the time to post our pictures from our Spring Utah trip this year for our Small Family reunion.  We had such a wonderful time!  I will try and journal as much as I can to explain all the photos.

Our traveling went really well.  We made really good time this trip and got to spend some time in Rahma, NM and our first night with Uncle Paul and Aunt Jannet, which was really nice.  We stopped to let the kids climb up an arch with Brandon.  They love that!  We stopped in Lehi, Ut to see Great Grandma Daisy and had a nice visit with her and then spend the 2nd night at Grandma Cook's.  We were so happy to be there finally!

Valerie didn't get to hike up to the arch, but she wanted to go up too so Brandon took her up a little ways.

Our visit with Grandma Daisy.

The annual Small Family Reunion was March 28th-March 30th so we headed right up to Bear Lake the next morning we got in to prepare the housing for all 138 people.  Mom was in charge so we had done a lot of planning and were sooo excited to finally be there.  It was held at the Playhouse Retreat House in Garden City, Utah.  These are pictures of our drive up the canyon.  It was beautiful.

This is the entrance to the playhouse, where 42 family members slept.  We were lucky enough to use the master bedroom in the house with our kids and Ally, Kaleb and David (1st cousins).

In the basement of the house was a huge play area for the kids.  We hardly ever saw Kaden and Sarah for 3 days because they were done there most of the time.

Valerie loved aunt Liz's homemade marinara sauce.

The first night we had a family talent show and it was lots of fun watching all the great-grandchildren perform.

The 2nd day Chris and Karlie were in charge of the Small Family Olympics down in the play area, which was a huge success, and the little kids stayed upstairs to craft.  Well, Valerie liked eating the fruit loops more than glueing them.

Mady & Sarah were on the same team together...so cute!

Karlie kept track of everyone's wins and there were gold, silver and bronze medalists at the end.

My wonderful grandparents, Grandpa Small and Grandma Carma.  It was so nice to have them there.  They were troopers with all the craziness.

David and Mady with their medals.

For some reason Valerie was not into doing much around the big house or with anyone else besides mom or dad.  So she spent a lot of time in our room watching TV, sometimes with Daddy while he did his homework.

My niece, Kache and I...loved getting to spend time with this little cutie.

Kache passed out in the high chair on Sunday...so cute.

Brandon learned about a new game(Puerto Rico) and played a couple games with my first cousins, Shauna & MeLinda and her husband Scott.

The weather was beautiful until the day we had to leave.  It was very chili and we got to drive back to Logan in a pretty good white snow storm.
