12th Anniversary! So in Love!

This is a pic our friend took on the 4th! I just love it!  Love him!
Brandon and I had a wonderful weekend celebrating our 12th anniversary.  For the past couple of years we have not been able to take our regular away date.  2 years ago he was in New Mexico at the top of a mountain with the scouts.  He sent me the sweetest letter in the mail and I will never forget that.  It reminded me of all the letters we wrote on our missions.  And then last year we were all in Nauvoo, Illinois on a family church trip, which was also wonderful and memorable.  But it was nice to get a away this past weekend since it'd been a while (for our anniversary anyway).  We are lucky enough to have awesome friends who kept our 3 little's, since Sarah and Kaden are visiting family in Utah.  We went and ate a super delicious dinner and stayed at a super nice hotel!  The next morning he drove me to the only Mimi's Cafe we know of in the area now (since all the others have closed) and that was also delicious!  We had planned to go car shopping for the rest of the day but had a long talk about it and decided it would be best to keep the van a while longer.  That evening we went out with our good friends (Axelson's & Chad/Christy) to dinner.  After we sat down and had started visiting for about 15 min we heard an extremely loud boom outside!  There had been a storm going on that afternoon/evening and so we all assumed it was just lightening.  Well it was lightening but come to find out after a bunch of people had seen it happen, we found out our van had been hit by the lightening we heard!  It was definitly a memorable night and we are grateful no one was hurt.  We know we are being watched over and that we will most likely now be doing some car shopping!

Love this guy so much!
Wedding pic from our Utah reception, July 24th, 2004!

Brandon had the pineapple upside down muffin at Mimi's! YUM!

Here is the van on the tow truck.  There was actually not a lot of physical visible damage.  If you look closely at the tire you can see the black on the rims.  The light fixture on the back window was shattered and we had to disconnect the battery to get the horn to stop.  So we aren't really sure what the lightening did besides that so we will see what the mechanic says!

I feel truly blessed to be married to a wonderful loving person who takes such good care of me and our children.  He is such a blessing in my life and I'm so grateful that he is mine forever!
